Allied Realty Services, a national multi-family developer and builder, enrolled BYG’s services to design and build 240 luxury apartments and amenities on approximately 3.3 acres of the City Park South site. The Retreat at City Park will be housed in 3 separate buildings. The largest building will consist of 140 apartments and will respond to the traditional character of the neighborhood in its’ materials and detailing. The second building will be an adaptive re-use of the existing Mercy Medical office building into 44 loft like units which will retain the exposed precast concrete twin-tee framing, exposed ductwork and eleven foot ceilings. The exterior of the existing structure will be extensively remodeled, utilizing colors and materials similar to the other 2 buildings. The 3rd building of the Retreat at City Park will be composed of 56 apartment units designed in a dynamic contemporary structure that will architecturally respond to the proposed high-rise towers on the West side of the property while relating to the colors and materials of the other 2 buildings.
