Located
at 1443 Larimer Street on Larimer Square, this project consisted
of 12,500 square feet and four floors of renovation to an historic
Turn of the Century masonry building.
In
order to bring the building to new structural codes, the renovation
included removal, design and construction of the entire first floor,
structural reinforcing of all remaining floor and roof structures,
asbestos and lead abatement throughout the structure and removal
of the decrepit storefront, replacing it with a new historically
correct storefront system designed to blend with the character of
historic Larimer Square.
New electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems were also added
to the historic building to bring it to code, including the addition
of the required mechanical systems to allow for the conversion of
the buildings lower two floors for a retail or restaurant space
at a future date.
